The tablet craze and kids

Everyone loves Christmas, especially children and young people who, let’s face it, are the real stars of this holiday.

Although games and clothes remain a popular choice for children, the advent of tablets has brought these devices to the top of the list for boys in particular.

In fact, analysts Ofgem, found the number of boys between 5 and 15 years old with a tablet increased from 7% to 26%. It also found that the number of children as young as 3-4 years old using a PC or a tablet at home is now at 28%.

The ease of use of these devices, as well as the countless number of applications ranging from games to study apps, makes them one of the most sought after products on the market for all age groups and purposes.

The other side of the coin shows the most negative aspects of these devices. Richard Graham, a leading British expert in dependence of technology, says that if a child spends too much time in front of a tablet, he/she could develop a strong dependency on tablet tecnology by age four.
